Privacy

Last updated 25 July 2026

Carve has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress is stored on your own device and never sent to us — we do not operate a server that could receive it.

What is stored on your device

The game saves to your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is readable only by this site:

Clearing your browser data for this site erases all of it. There is no copy anywhere else, so that erasure is permanent and we cannot restore it.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising identifier, no fingerprinting and no error-reporting service. We do not know how many people play, or who they are.

Other services the page contacts

The 3D engine (three.js) loads from jsDelivr, a public code network. Your browser's request tells jsDelivr your IP address and browser version, as any web request does. jsDelivr states that it does not log personal data or set cookies — see their privacy policy. We receive nothing from this.

Advertising

Carve can offer you an optional ad when a carve cracks, so you can keep going instead of starting the level again. It is never forced, never shown between levels, and declining it costs you nothing in the game — you get the same chances either way.

No advertising code loads unless you have agreed to it. This is enforced in the game itself, not by policy: the function that injects Google's script checks for your stored consent first and returns without doing anything if it is missing or set to no. So on a first visit, the question is asked before any advertising request has been made.

If you agree, the ads come from Google AdSense, which sets cookies on your device to choose and measure ads and is the data controller for that. Google's handling of it is covered by their partner-sites policy. We receive no personal data back — we do not see who you are, and there is still no analytics or tracking of our own.

You can change your mind at any time under Display → Ads. Turning it off stops any further advertising from being requested. To be straight with you about the limit of that: it cannot un-run a script that already loaded in the current session, so the change fully takes effect when you next open the game.

If no advertising is configured at the time you read this, none of the above is running and you will not be asked anything.

Purchases

Collection unlocks are currently simulated locally for testing and take no payment. No payment details are requested, handled or stored. If real purchasing is added, it will run through a payment provider who will handle card details directly, and this page will say who.

Children

Carve is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data at all, we collect none from children either.

Playing on other platforms

A separate build of Carve runs on CrazyGames. That version uses their SDK for saved progress and ads, so their privacy policy governs it, not this one. This page covers the version you are reading it on.

Your rights

Rights of access, correction, erasure and portability apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to return or delete. The data on your device is already entirely under your control, and the game has an export option so you can keep your own copy.
